International entertainment publication Variety Magazine released an article featuring the award-winning Filipino content production company, CreaZion Studios, and two of its international projects that are set for international distribution.
The first project featured in the article is “Last Shadow at First Light,” a co-production between Creazion Studios (Philippines), Protocol (Singapore), Fourier Films (Japan), and Studio Virc (Slovenia). The film is the second feature film by Singaporean director Nicole Midori Woodford. “Last Shadow at First Light” is a supernatural arthouse drama that explores the intangible nature of trauma and the ripples of its aftermath. It is a story of loss, grief, and healing, and it is a reminder that even the darkest of times can be filled with hope.
The second project featured in the article is “Severino,” a series in development set for international distribution. The series is based on the true story of a priest named Severino Mallari, the first documented serial killer in the Philippines. “Severino” stars Dennis Trillo, who made an astounding impression on the global scene with his performance in “On the Job: The Missing 8” (Venice International Film Festival).
Speaking about the collaboration with Variety Magazine, Chief Creative Officer Real Florido expressed his enthusiasm for these ambitious endeavors: “Our goal is to be part of the wide-scale production of elevated Asian projects. With ‘Severino’ underway, one of the biggest series in the region, we are excited to continue diversifying and expanding our market potential by partnering with outward-looking producers and projects.” The studio also partnered with a newly established production and financing company, Fire and Ice, for the global strategy of the said projects.
